We are nominated! Three times so far in 2025!
SMK Studios by Sarah Kilduff Photography, Main Street, Ballinasloe is celebrating a whirlwind of a 2025 so far. Celebrating not only six years in business but being nominated once again for some upcoming awards & accolades. Network Ireland Galway have nominated Sarah as a finalist for the ‘Businesswoman of the Year Awards’ 2025, in the following category: ‘Solo Businesswoman Finalist’.
Quote from Network Ireland Galway; “Congratulations to each and every woman….all incredibly brave, trailblazing, inspirational women”
SMK Studios has also been nominated this year in the Micro Business Awards in two categories. Namely, ‘Excellence in Retail and Hospitality’ & ‘Event Expert’.
When and where at the awards taking place ?
The Network Ireland awards will take place in June this year, in Galway & the Micro Business awards will take place in October in Portlaoise.
How valuable do you see (as a young business woman) - these allocades for your hard work and talent ?
These types of awards are valuable to the promotion of small businesses and for continued growth and development. Each nomination provides encouragement for the year ahead and for what is to come!
Any particular plans for your business for Summer / Autumn 2025 ?
SMK Studios is prepping for our busiest Summer yet with limited availability remaining for portraiture sessions. We are looking forward to welcoming all of our Summer newborns, family milestones & wedding parties over the next few months. We are also preparing to launch our new services list & we are expanding our in-studio & online shop products & hampers which will be available via our website over the coming weeks. We are also excited to be part of Ireland’s first Fashion week, so stay tuned & follow our journey on Facebook & Instagram! @Sarahkilduffphotography
Any advice you would give to young people starting a business locally ?
Never be afraid to start & attend every networking event you can find! Mentorship and continued learning are the key to success!
Anyone you would like to thank ?
I would like to thank my clients firstly, far and wide for making these things happen. Without their support none of this would be possible. I would like to make a special mention to my family, my partner, my close friends and of course Michelle Ryan & Sharon Kelly of Network Ireland Galway branch for all of their encouragement and continued guidance and kindness towards women in business.
